My work moved me into a corporate rental in downtown. I used to live at the beach where all I got was sun, sun, sun! Now I’m in cold office buildings and a rental by the cloudy bayside! I could see an feel the difference of not having the sun and Vitamin D in my life. So I purchased this product and WOW what a difference. I take other supplements by Garden of Life and they all work great. This one really makes a noticeable difference that I can actually see not just feel!

August 12, 2012 By RC I had low vitamin D levels so I started taking the Raw D3 5,000 everyday during the winter (we get very little sunlight). My levels were tested before (26) and two months after taking these. I was able to increase my vitamin D to 42! I have recommend these to other people who have low levels. February 18, 2013 By Rangers68 I love this Vitamin D, no stomach aches even on an empty stomach. It’s great! Sadly, most people do not know that they must take Vitamin D supplements in order to maintain an optimal level of Vitamin D. Since the body doesn’t produce it, you can only get it from the sun or vitamins. Again, most people aren’t out in the sun too much, especially during the winter. Also, being out in the sun too much causes a whole other set of issues regarding skin cancers, etc.

Most vitamins contain a small amount, which shows 100% of the daily value, but in reality you need much more, especially while pregnant. I was taking about 2000 iu of vitamin D and my blood levels showed that I was STILL under the optimal level, so how the daily recommend amount is only about 1000 iu beats me. It is highly recommended that pregnant women take 4000 iu, so I actually take the Raw Vit D 2000 iu since my other vitamins contain the rest.

It’s wonderful to be able to take 1 vitamin that contains all the vitamin D you need and this one is from raw sources.

After cardiac event, my PCDr told me my vit D level was really low. Taking 2000 iu was not enough. Instead of taking 2, I tried 1 5000iu and that did the trick. Great value. Like that it is raw.

I had a blood test reveal that I was deficient in Vitamin D. Initially I was taking a different supplement at 2,000 IU, yet my vitamin D level continued to fall. I started taking the Garden of Life brand. I also started taking much much more in order to fix my deficiency – initially 5 capsules per day, then 4, then 2 per day when I had a better blood test result.

So it worked, but increasing my dosage may have been just as or more important factor in that. However, in the end, all I care is that I am not deficient any more and I feel much better physically as a result.

My doctor tested my vitamin D and it came back extremely low. I tried other supplements but showed no improvement in my symptoms. Since starting these once in the morning, I notice that I am not so cold during the day at work. I work in an office building and used to find the air conditioning freezing, but even in the winter I notice that I don’t have to wear a jacket at my desk to feel comfortable. I do have to take magnesium with them though.

Can take on an empty stomach. "Lab" created vitamins make me nauseous

I have to take high doses of vitamin D. I used to throw up the laboratory created vitamin D. I can take several Garden of Life Raw D3 pills on an empty stomach with absolutely no side affects.

I had my blood tested again and I’m now in the normal range. On previous blood tests, my D levels was too low.
