I have been giving these to my kids for about 6 months. I haven’t noticed any major changes in their task performance or health, but it’s good to know that they’re getting their omegas on a regular basis, regardless of what they eat (or refuse to eat!). We pierce these with a pin and either squeeze directly into the mouth or mix with a small amount of yogurt – two of my kids can’t stand the flavor (c’mon, it IS fish oil), but the other doesn’t mind it. Here’s a tip: I’ve just noticed that two of these Junior gels (500mg each) are equal to one of the Nordic Naturals Complete Omega 3.6.9 adult-size gels (1000mg each), and it’s the exact same product. You’ll save money by buying the adult size and give your child one of them, rather than two of the junior size (the recommended dosage). This won’t work if your kids are swallowing the gels whole, because the adult gels are probably too large for kids to swallow, but if you are piercing the capsules it works great, and the larger gels are easier to squeeze. My son has had night terrors since he was 18 months old and it has continued ( but lessened) until now ( he is going on 7 years old) I started him on these about 10 months ago and he has not had a night terror since. Of course I cant say for sure if its merely a coincidence, or he is outgrowing the night terrors, or these vitamins are really working. Either way I wont risk having the ngiht terrors return and they certainly cant hurt him. I noticed another reviewer indicated it helped children with speech problems as well. He’s never been diagnosed or even tested for ADD or ADHD (I think he’s just a little immature). He was just on the young side for his class and had a hard time sitting and focusing on his work. In Kindergarten (he’s now in 1st Grade), he preferred to socialize and was easily distracted from his work. His teacher was not very patient with him and we spoke to his doctor for advice. His doctor suggested Nordic Naturals. It took a few weeks to notice a difference, but by the 4th quarter of the Kindergarten school year (he started taking it in the 3rd quarter), his behavior grades improved drastically.

Now in 1st Grade, he’s still taking the supplement and is doing very well. He’s still silly, but what 6 year old boy isn’t? This year’s teacher is more patient with him. But most importantly, he focuses during work time, completes his work and gets top grades.

I think this supplement gives his brain just what it needs to focus on his schoolwork. Homework time is easier now. Assignments are being completed. Part of this is him maturing, but I’m sure the supplement helps too.

Finally, if you chew these gel capsules, they taste horrible. My son is able to swallow them and takes them without argument.

We bought these for my 8 year old with high-functioning autism. He easily chews them up and likes the taste, though I know not all kids do. They are a nice size also for children who can swallow a pill. This product has definitely helped with his mood and attention span. His teachers have noticed too. More good days!

My 9 year old son has been taking these for about 8 weeks now, He is PDD, has delayed language, sensory issues, hyperactive and difficulty with focus. He started on the tangerine chew ones but cringed everytime he had to take one after a month I tried to see if he could swallow these. He could not so I am mixing them in with his drink twice a day. We have definitely noticed a difference in his personality. He is much more friendly and interested in spending time with us. We are also amazed at how much his talking has increased and his reading level.

My ten year old son was very hyperactive in school and had night terrors every night. We removed gluten from his diet first, which helped with the night terrors. His teachers still complained that he was out of control in the classroom. After taking two supplements every morning, plus one before bed, his teacher has noticed a huge difference in his behavior at school. I didn’t tell her that I was giving him the fish oil.
