This brand was recommended to me by my veterinarian for my dog’s allergies and overall heart health. They don’t sell it in their office, so it wasn’t just a sale to them. I found the best price on Amazon, much cheaper than they are at the healthy grocery store chain.
Since taking it, my English Bulldog sheds significantly less, his hair is a little softer, his ears bother him less frequently (chronic ear infections), and he smells a little better. He still gets ear infections, so he isn’t cured of all that ails him, but it’s less often than it had been.
My main concern was the size of the pill. They are about the same size as the human fish oil pills, and I thought my dog wouldn’t swallow it. Bulldogs don’t have very big throats, but I keep a little softened butter on the counter and I dip the pill in it. He gobbles it up like a treat and I assume the butter helps it go down smoothly. Olive oil has also worked, but he will spit it out occasionally. The dog likes his butter.
I’ll definitely keep buying these.

This Pet Omega-3 Formula works wonders on my 9 year-old golden retriever. His hip
was bothering him and he would take his time getting up from a nap or in the morning. He had a pronounced limp, but now with an omega tab everyday…..he is back to his normal self .

Omega-3 Pet pills for Cats & Dogs

I have a 13-year old Ragdoll cat and I want keep her as healthy as possible. So, I found Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Pet and read all the reviews, which were positive. Like any health related item, you never know if they’re going to work on your pet. Every cat & dog has a different body system. BUT, I was willing to try and I’m very happy I did. My cat’s fur is as smooth as a kittens and sheds a lot less, meaning less hairballs. Because it is helping her with her fur, etc. I have faith that it is helping her body in many other ways. Omega-3 Pet oil pills are known to help with pain in the joints and strenghtening the bones. Overall, if it can help your animal, why not spend a little & take a chance. It too could work well with your pet’s body

I like the product.
It is easy to give to my cat of 14 years old. It slides down her throat very easy and quick.
My cat is a persian. She has only been on it for 3 weeks, and after a week her fur was very full and very soft.
She is no longer scratching constantly, nor shedding so much.
I will continue to purchase this product.
Helps allergies

Our 2 year old golden retreiver suffers from terrible allergies and dry skin. It was so bad when we moved to the bay area from Oregon that he was loosing lots of hair and his belly was covered in hot spots. His nose was running and paws were rough and dry. I was so worried. We took him to a new veterinary who recommended we supplement his diet with fresh fruits, veggies and grains such as quinoa and rice along Nordic naturals. What a difference. He gets rougly a cup of wellness with his fish oil and what ever freshness we have on hand. His favorite being rice, beets, carrots, and chicken. Theo loves it and does a happy dance every time he is being fed. No more runny nose, less shedding, his paws are smooth to the touch and his skin has cleared up. I cannot recommend this product enough. We have done other fish oils but this is by far worth the extra money due to the high quality.

My vet recommends that we give our dog as much Omega 3 as he can tolerate. Our dog has a repaired leg from being hit by a car and so we are concerned with arthritis as he gets older, and also stiffness when it is cold. The Omega does so much for him. This is also the brand I personally use for my own Omega 3. (They do make human versions!)

My little jack Russell terrier was having joint problems so I started using the fish oil along with glucosamine tablets and it has really helped a lot. My vet recommended the combo and so did a few people in the neighborhood. Great product.

I started using this product in the winter for my three mini-dogs. Itching reduced, and no side effects.
Since each dog is under 20 lbs, I cut the tip off of 1 tablet each meal (with a nail clipper) and spread the oil on their breakfast or dinner. They lick the bowl!
so far, so good

I have been giving these to my dog for a couple months and my dogs seem fine. I have tried other products and this one seems to work well. The ingredient list is simple and the company states that they use sardines and anchovies; my top choice because they are low on the food chain. The company also states that they have a purification process for mercury and other contaminants; I feel good giving my dogs top quality fish oil pills. I, myself take Nordic Naturals
ProOmega-Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Fish Oil, 120ct Lemon Flavored human form of fish oil, but I was concerned about the lemon oil and some of the formulations with my dogs. Best of luck finding a good product for your dog; if you know of something better please let me know and I’ll be happy to try it.
