My name is Mike H. from San Diego, California. A friend of mine was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Although the diagnose was recent, my friend became obviously ill very quickly and his symptoms worsened almost weekly. He was put on disability, "no questions asked". My friend is a hard worker, and has always taken pride in providing for his family, working two jobs and being a person of high work ethic. These recent events have been devastating for him. His doctors basically told him that he will never work again and he will be on heavy sedative and anti-psychotic drugs for the rest of his life (he is in his forties). He and I began a search of the internet and through friends for answers. That is when we came across the new book by Ronen David. I took a chance and emailed the author with a pre-purchase question. I was surprised and pleased when he answered me promptly. More important than the answer was Ronen’s attitude. He was kind and empathetic toward my friend’s search for returning to a more normal life. We ordered the book and have been pleased with how easy it is to read and how full of hope, wisdom and full of life it is. Time will tell if the techniques will help my friend as they obviously have helped Ronen. I feel confident that Ronen knows what he is talking about and the techniques he describes have taken him out of the grips of schizophrenia into a productive and happy life. In reading the book, I can’t deny that in many ways I envy Ronen and do not see him as a person struggling with a disease. I see him as a whole person who has so much going for him that he is able to reach out and help others as well.
